Suffixes - Creating ADJECTIVES

Instructions:

You are given an image, a sentence, and a set of prefixes.

Create the word you think corresponds to the image by chosing the correct prefix.

You can put a prefix into the input box by first clicking on it, and then clicking in the input box, under the prefixes, and the prefix will appear in the input box.

Theory:

It is often necessary to create adjectives from other types of words, and this is done by using SUFFIXES.

The most common suffixes for this work are as follows:

AL - accidental, regional, personal, brutal.

ARY - cautionary, dietary, complimentary.

FUL - beautiful, skillful, successful, wonderful.

IC - athletic, basic, scientific, historic.

ICAL - magical, practical, logical.

ISH - foolish, childish, selfish.

LESS - useless, worthless, homeless.

LIKE - lifelike, childlike, ladylike.

LY - friendly, costly, cowardly.

OUS - poisonous, nervous, dangerous.
